Beach at PEARL...

My wife and I were there September of 2022, and the beach had a bad odor, and during our stay, was eroded by the waves of a passing storm.
Can anyone give us an update on the current state of the beach at PEARL? Thanks...

We were there in October and for New Years the beach was much better at New Years. Based on some recent pics it’s even better now.

We were there just last week 02/06-02/09 and this was our first visit so no experience to go on. But, from what I saw beach beds and chairs were full Mon-Wed and we really did not smell anything. Wednesday was a little thicker with grass but that may have been because of a strong wind and incoming tide. Pearl staff was always working to clear the beach as were other resort properties down the beach. I swam in the ocean on Wednesday

We will be there today.

Was told the seaweed is back. Makes no difference to me as beach isn’t on the list of reasons we go. Plenty of places to go for beaches.

We arrive a week from today and while not beach people ourselves, we always walk into town a couple days so we'll be able to provide some feedback on the current conditions.

Seaweed is back. It’s building up. Not a big deal.

We have been to Pearl 6 times in the last five years, and the seaweed keeps getting worse. We have seen one or two guys with pitchforks working very hard on it. It just never seems to even make a dent in the problem. On each visit, we walk to the hotel just south of Pearl to find a pristine beach with little to no weeds. They have some fancy boat/machine parked just off the beach to clean it all up.

Yes, we are just jealous and want Pearl to look the same; we are beach people, among other things.

Any idea why Pearl does not have a similar machine? Lord knows we pay enough for them to purchase one or two.

The Pearl beach is environmentally protected is our understanding.

Public beach owned by government. They are limited in what they can do.

Thank you for the update.

There’s got to be a way Pearl can clean their beach, just like the other hotels with machines.

I'll keep hoping.

They clean it every day.

I’m watching them do it right now. There’s very little chance they can defeat Mother Nature, however.

FYI - there is a reason that they don't use machines to clear the beach at Pearl. The Pearl beach and much to the north and south of it is a marine protected area for sea turtle nesting.
