Sargassum Update

My wife and I had traveled to Desire Pearl in June 22.We had stayed at the far end of the resort close to the vacant lot were the sargassum had stocked piled. The sargassum began to decompose and give off a smell on occasion. We believe that it gave us some sinus issues. So this year I had planed a trip for the Desire Miches Resort in June to possibly miss that problem but now that has changed due to the closing of that property. I am looking to rebook at Pearl and try to request a room around the jacuzzi. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts and if it is better now.

Sargassum wasn't bad early December. I think it's worse in the summer months. Of course after a wind storm, more will pile up. Those workers on the beach try their best to keep it in check. We're beach people, but the pool was awesome every day.

The sargassum was piling up last week but didn’t smell, thankfully. Workers out there everyday with pitchforks carrying it away, but didn’t make much difference. Only saw a handful of guests step over the sargassum and swim in the ocean

Today was the cleanest I’ve seen the water in a long time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring
