I’ve had some success upgrading my room type upon arrival at a Lower cost than posted (ie the resort had availaibilities for rooms that didn’t sell). Is that likely at Desire Pearl?

We have been offered upgrades on arrival. Once or twice the deal seemed worth taking, but whether it was truly cheaper than at reservation time ... don't honestly recall. More often than not, we passed. Probably worth asking if you really want the upgrade and see what offer comes back.

Us and another couple next to us at the pool both upgraded to suites last week. Say no to the first offer or two and they may even ask how much you’d be willing to pay. We paid significantly less than the listed price difference
