Because we are not "members" will there be any chairs we can walk up to or can/is it best to make a reservation... or will a good tip at the beginning of the trip take care of us for our stay.... thanks guys.

At Pearl just talk to the pool person where they hand out towels.I usually give him $10 dollars to start and he will get you started.If you want an umbrella give him another $10 to start.

Tipping is not required but it certainly goes a long way.

We are not members and perhaps I'm being a bit overgenerous but I give Miguel a $20 on our first day, then a $5 each morning following.
On the last day I give him another $20.
He makes sure we get our best choice of available loungers and if a better one opens up, he will happily move us and keeps us there going forward.
Also, throughout each day, he or the other pool staff will move our umbrella to ensure we get shade all day long.
FYI: We were just there May 27-June 2

Curious how difficult a bed may be able to come by in Summer 2025 without a membership. We'd like to switch from beach to pool every other day probably if possible.

Same deal (tip in the mornings)?

Depends how busy the resort is. You can probably get a bed on the quiet side of the pool. Chairs or a bed will be a different story on the other side. Most of the best location chairs and beds are really hard to come by. Wherever you chairs or bed are will be great though. We’ve never had a bad view!

We are not members and we've been to the Pearl 3 times in 2024 and never had any issues getting chairs on the "fun" end of the pool. Stop on your way to breakfast and Miguel (pool guy) will assign you the chairs for your complete stay. They usually reserve the beds for the members. But it never hurts to ask. And tip.
