Received an email from Pearl today offering a master suite upgrade for an extra $100. Is this a standard thing or indicative of the place not being full. We'll be there Nov 16-21..

It's not unusual to get an upsell offer if they have a higher priced room available. Not sure we have ever received it via email, but that could just be poor memory. We have often been offered a version of that at check-in. Wouldn't say it is indicative of occupancy other than November is generally not true peak season. The Master Suite is our favorite room category FWIW. We would pay an extra $100 a night for it, but you can't go wrong. You will have a great time regardless of the room so if you want to save that $100 and do something else with it (we'd vote for the erotic/stripper dinner), nothing wrong with that decision at all.
