Hi everyone,

Ugh, I hate posting this, because it is a common topic, but I would like some newer, more updated information. Wife and I are scheduled for Pearl for 4 days, would be longer, but staying at a vanilla resort for a few days as well. We are in our LATE 40's, but are very fit, and still have a fair amount of party energy in us, but we also like to relax. We have been to Temptation and it was a bit too much party. So we picked Pearl. We are set to be in a Passion Suite, so I am sure It'll be amazing! But, We do not want to be "bored." We want a bit of excitement/party, and well, I will just say it: We would both be more comfortable around other fit, attractive bodies, but I keep hearing that Pearl has now become a more preferred spot for 65+ ages. God, I get icky even typing this shit, but it is our preferences, so were are a bit nervous!

We were first timers last year in December. It was seriously the perfect place for every reason:

1) Property is absolutely beautiful
2) Staff are absolutely amazing from the time we walked in to the lobby, to the pool, to the bartenders at all bars, etc., etc., etc.
3) It can be as relaxing as you like - but there's plenty of fun to be had - the Playmakers are super-fun at the pool there were games/activities daily - some more devious than others. You can participate or not, but from everything I've heard about Temptation, it's nothing like that. The entertainment at night is completely ridiculously amazing. Seriously. Just amazingly talented performers/shows. WOW. You can have as much fun, or relax as much as you'd like it's all there.
4) The spa services - holy cow - amazing
5) The people - the guests - we just had the time of our lives.

We'll be back this year in December again.

It's seriously my favorite place on earth now.

Friend, you're going to get a lot of criticism in this group, but here's the truth:**
The crowd at Pearl tends to be older—fun, sexy, but older. The vibe is more relaxed. I’m 40, my partner is 39, and we’ve enjoyed both experiences.

At Pearl, especially in the jacuzzi, I’ve had amazing late-night conversations with incredibly interesting people, and I’ve really enjoyed it.

But honestly, based on what you’re looking for, **DRM seems like a better fit.**

I know that in this blog, comments about physical appearance often get criticized, but if it’s something important to you, I think that’s totally valid.

We were there in April and I say the demographics were 40's and 50's and most fit physiques. Also saw not so fit 30's, 40's and 50's, as well. Also met some fit 60" couples and they were sexy as hell. So don't be quick to rule out the 60's crowd. Every week will be different based on who shows up! We had an amazing time for our first time there

BTW - we are in our 60's and in good shape! Our interactions with the 40's crowd did not realize we were in our 60's! Appearances can be misleading sometimes.

We prefer Pearl. We go 4-6 times a year and stay two weekends. Each weekend is different at both Pearl and RM depending on the crowd. I would say the age is between 40-55 with couples on either end of the age spectrum. We were there in April and the crowd was 35-65. We will be there for the 4th and always a fun time. Same age group. Interesting observation though, the 50s' age groups tends to be more fit than the 35 years olds......

We may be in the age range you wrote about but we are fit (gym 5 days a week) and attractive (so we've been told). You will find people at Pearl that are younger than you and older than us. Younger people have no issues hanging out with us but some of the people our age are not as active and sort of stick to themselves. You will have a great time. Just be ready to climb all the stairs to the Penthouse Passion Suites. It's a game changer if your wife wears heels.

I think you're worrying about it too much.
We've been to the Desire resorts at least 25 times (though the majority to DRM), and even though the crowd changes from week to week, it still stays the same. There are a few late 20-somethings, a few of the 65+ crowd (though not many of them are "old"), and lots of 30s, 40s, and 50s in between. If somehow you don't fit in, it's YOU. And if you get bored, well....... it's still YOU.

I agree with the others. Don’t overthink it. Just book it and GO. You will have the time of your lives…guaranteed!

We just got back this week and the crowd was early 30's to early 70's. So many people hang out together and also play together. One young woman and I (M) celebrated on our largest age gap to play with (37 years).
