Hi everyone!

We are headed to Pearl on Dec 26, first timers to the resort and pretty excited. We'll be there through Jan 2. As we are starting to prepare/plan for the trip, had a few questions.

1. Where's the best place to get latest/greatest info on Theme Nights? I have seen a few.
2. Wireless - Seems like it sucks and is only in certain rooms. We'll be in a master suite, so wondering if its free/included in that room and how the service is?
3. Are the electrical outlets US standard outlets, or something different?
4. Read that we now have to pay to go to/from Pearl and RM, where it used to be free -is this true? Do we still have access to RM events, pools, restaurants?
5. Does the Pearl offer bookings for excursions / scuba?

1. Desire Pearl and RM both have a web site with live on line help.
2.Wireless is hit or miss so good luck.
3. Standard U.S. electrical outlets.
Yes you now have to pay between resorts trips. About $25.00 each way.
4. Yes scuba and excursion are offered through the resort.

In response to question 5, you would save money if you booked through the dive shop in Puerto Morelos. (sp?) When you walk into the town square, it is over to your left, 3 shops in from the first road off the beach. Snorkeling was only $25 including wetsuit, gear and life jacket. Scuba is far cheaper too. They can also plan your excursions around Cancun. We went to Tulum & Xel-ha and they arranged it all for us. On top of that, we had a Taxi from 9:30 to 7:00 for 900 pesos. ($80 bucks!) Try getting a limo for that price anywhere else! Ask for Gabby the Cabbie. He was awesome!

Awesome thanks! What excursions would you recommend, we certainly want to spin most of our week at Desire, but feel like we should see something while we're there. We'll certainly scuba, but would you recommend Tulum, anything else? Are they all day excursions on half day?
