We have been to desire rm twice and are going to experience pearl for the first time in April. For us music sets a good vibe and wondered what people thought of the music selection at the club and overall throughout the pool and hot tub area.

We were disappointed in the music when we there last August. Not what we like but some enjoyed it, I guess it is hard to please everyone, we found MR to be much more upbeat and danceable. Around the pool it was the the same 70s, 80s heavy metal sprinkled with disco repeated in a continuous loop. The disco sometimes started off with more modern tunes but after 1/2hr or so went to the above with also a mix of country, most people cleared out by this time and was completely empty a couple of nights by midnight (low occupancy?) Going back in March hopefully it has improved.

Thanks guys! Did anyone else find that to be true?

Was there music at the hot tub? Around the pool area?

Although we had read lots of complaints about the music, we found it to be good (in November )
Morning by the pool they played softer sensual music while you were trying to revive yourself. Then they switched to a good mix of rap and techno for poolside activities. The Rico was fine too, typical club mixes for energy an dancing.
It's funny that I cannot remember the music at the hot tub - spent SO much time there but was also very distracted I guess

There are speakers positioned around the hot tub in the flower beds. However, the music being played can only be heard early in the day. As the hot tub population increases, and the bubblers are turned on, it becomes all but impossible to hear the music. But by that time, nobody is even paying attention to
the music...LOL.

What I did was have a DJ friend make up some club discs which we gave to the pearl DJ's to use in addition to the video system which they use a lot .

We were there in November. I thought they had a nice mix of music, especially at the Disco. Sound system well laid out thru the resort. Could have been a little louder at the hot tub.
