Beach beds

This will be our second time to DP. The first time we were there we spent most of our time on the beach, however we never be able to get a beach bed. Honestly we did not even try as every time we arrived to the beach all of them were occupied ... I just read somewhere that those beds are reserved to some sort of premium guests or those that occupy a suite. Can any body let me know if that is correct and if there is a way of reserving a bed in advance? Thank you for your input.

PD: nobody replied to my recent post regarding the hot tube area (non busy times and whether the hot tube is shaded or not). Let's try again. Thank you.

The few beach beds that are at Pearl are reserved for those that book Penthouse suites (even if those suites are not occupied - :( )

The jacuzzi are is not really shaded until the later afternoon, approx 4pm onwards

When we were there in November we used the beach beds whenever we wanted, no questions about what room we were in, although we only used them a couple of times - we were not in the penthouses, as usual Coke is right on with his timing on the shade arriving at the hot tub!

This is more of a question than a reply. If the beach beds are few and only for certain guests, are there any other areas to enjoy the beach in that are out of the sun. Wife and I cannnot be in direct sun for hours on end. We have been to RM 2 times and always had somewhere to get out of the sun. Scheduled to arrive in late July.

Yes there are lots of very comfortable loungers on the beach and unlike Desire RM, Pearl has an abundance of mature palm trees on the beach that you can park yourselves under with plenty of shade from them throughout the day.
