We are going in April and are looking at the best option for the airport transfer.

Desire Pearl offers their private transfer for $97 round trip. Anyone use them?

Appreciate any feedback!

USA Transfers - $35 one way/$ 60 USD round trip - per couple for Private transfers(direct, no other stops, airport to resort) - very reliable !!!

It's about a 20 min drive from the time they pick you up until you arrive at the front entrance to Desire.

If you click on the their logo below it will take you right to their booking page for both Desire Pearl Desire and Riviera Maya - same price for either location

Cokeman,
So you would recommend USA Transfers over Transbeach? I just rebooked our trip for March and included the transfer using Transbeach (Desire's transfer company), but if you recommend we use USA instead, please let me know.
Thanks

We have no experience with transbeach but can recommend USA Transfers As we used them on our last trip - good price and friendly service!

USA Transfers is the best price option, and they have always been fast & friendly. We've used them five or six times now, and I think the longest it has ever taken to actually be on the road, from the time we've walked out of the terminal, is ten minutes...a couple years ago, we were the victims of cancelled flights and wound up spending the first night of a Desire vacation in Philadelphia. The next morning, our flight wound up delayed three hours, and with a dead phone we weren't able to contact USA. Yet when we finally made it to Cancun and walked up to the rep, before we could say a word, he said "Mr & Mrs Xxxxxxxx, for Desire? Welcome."....would never use anyone else after that.

I have nothing against Transbeach, maybe others can comment on their experiences with them. I just like to support companies that offer what I feel provides the best overall value and have great service - which is why I recommended USA Transfers .....

I just realized that we have "Gray Line" doing our airport transfers...anyone have any experience with them? We booked through Orbitz, and that's the transfer co. they use.

It depends, "Gray Line" is the transfer company that has(or paid for) the default concession booths inside the Cancun Airport terminals.

Is the transfer you got thru Orbitz "private" or "shared" ? Gray Line does offer both types

If it is a shared ride you may end up waiting around at the airport until they collect enough passengers to fill a 8>12 seat van before heading south to deliver everyone to their various hotels.

If it is shared you could possibly opt out of the Orbitz transfers and arrange your own private one....

I would highly recommended opting out & booking your own private transfer.
At the end of the day, you may only end up paying an extra $20-30 round-trip for private, direct to nakedness transport.

We have always used USA transfers and had great experiences...but this time we booked thru dream pleasure vacations and they included free private transfers...the company is extra services...has anyone used them and if so how was it. We leave in 16 days and I wanted to make sure this company was reputable.

We are thinking about taking someone's advice & using USA Transfers to bring us to Desire but using a cab to bring us back to the airport. Has anyone done this? Any issues using a cab? We like the fact that you can call a cab when YOU are ready to leave & not fighting with the transfer service to change the time because they want to pick you up way earlier than necessary. We always arrive to the airport early but there is no reason to wander around the airport for 2 hours waiting to board. Any experiences would be helpful. Thanks!

Sure we have done this many times, however since the taxi rates increased a year ago it will now cost you more than simply doing a round trip via USA Transfer which is still only $60 total.

One way Taxi fare from Desire RM to the Cancun Airport is now 450 Pesos ($45 usd)

So if you do one way via USA Transfers (airport to Desire RM) $35 + taxi (Desire RM to airport) $45 it will total to $80 usd
