Alcohol

My wife and I are booked at Desire Pearl for mid-March, so we're leaving in a few weeks. We are newbies and very excited (and somewhat nervous) about out trip.

My wife is "allergic" to alcohol, so she cannot drink it or eat food prepared/cooked with it. Given that she doesn't drink, and that drinking seems to be a big part of parting at Desire, does anyone see any issues for her? Anything she should avoid, for example, "alcohol-infused chocolate"?

By the way, she loves to party, dance and have a good time, and it amazes people that she can have so much fun without drinking. And wait until you see the very revealing, sexy dresses she'll be wearing!

We were at pearl last year with a friend who had serious food allergies. The chef made a point of talking to her everyday to let her know which menu items were ok for her. Several times, he made her a special dessert and left it clearly labelled with her name in case he wasn't there.
