Desire Pearl Boring?

We were hoping to book this coming November at Desire Pearl because of the nicer facilities and huge new hot tub but I have been reading a lot of comments/reviews that are saying that the vibe is not good because there are too many clothed people and the sexual atmosphere is just not at Pearl.... We were thinking if we booked with the "Wild ON Desirous Party group in early November that it would be a lively place but I still want time to relax....but I don't want it to be too quiet. I have no idea where to book now, reading all the remarks about how lacking Pearl is in atmosphere is a real downer. We were at Desire LC in January and had a blast but wanted to try Pearl. We have been to DRM in 2008. Can anyone comment about exactly what to expect at Pearl?

Ask me on May 29th after we get back from Pearl. Pearl would certainly not be boring with a group there. Just look for a week with a group. I personally think Pearl will be just fine regardless based on reading all the trip reports.

As someone mentioned in one of their posts, it's not the resort itself that's 'boring' but it's the folks that are there at the time you are. You can have quiet days/nights and you can have lively and exciting, non-stop partying - depending on the clientele and the day.
If you are going to go when there's a group going, your chances of having lively activities is much greater.
We loved Desire Pearl - it's a beautiful resort, the rooms are wonderful, the staff are fantastic, the food was delicious, the grounds are beautiful, the beach is great. Having said that, though, I highly doubt we will go back due to the price of the resort.
We have had great times at all 3 Desire resorts, whether there has been a group / takeover / or not. Your vacation is what YOU make of it.

We are fully with Miranda on this, and are counting off the days until we are heading for Pearl again. 11 more weeks to go.

After trips to RM in June and again this past Feb. we are booked for Pearl over labor day with YNOTs group. Should be nice to experience for first time with large group over long holiday weekend.

I didn't realize there was a group at Pearl over Labor Day. Should be an interesting and fun experience for us as newbies! We look forward to meeting you.

It all depends on who is there. We recently spent a week at Pearl and had a great time. Part of the week was very high capacity and a fun group of people. The other part of the week was a bit quieter. If it's too quiet for you, jump in a taxi and spend the day/night at RM. Pearl is a nicer resort.......rooms, grounds, pool, etc. If you have the same group of people at each resort, Pearl would be our first choice. Can't go wrong at either resort!

We certainly didn't find it boring. The daytime activities were fun and a great way to meet people. The hottub from 3 pm onward was very erotic and full of fun people talking, flirting, touching and often more. As the sun set, it even became more erotic and there were many 'activities' going on. Pre-dinner and after dinner was also enjoyable. Late night was definitely quiet but I'm sure that some nights were more active, we were just tired and wanting to rest for the next day so we didn't get too involved. I would recommend to put your mind frame in having fun, finding like minded people and making your own fantasies come true. You can't wait around for it, you have to make it for yourself. We were there in March 2013. Enjoy! We're definitely going back for a variety of reasons - great resort, food, amenities, people, etc.

Based on the feedback I've read from you, my hubby is going to want to spend time at the hot tub, lol. How was the disco while you wear there? Did people use the playroom? We aren't in the lifestyle but my husband is hopeful the "vibe" will allow us to address a few fantasies with each other around the hot tub and in the playroom.

I think the "boring" perception is all subjective and based on your expectations, past experience, and limits as a couple. It sounds like a good time to us and we seem to have some couples with similar interests, fantasies, and expectation at the resort when we are there.

We thought the playroom was great and was full almost every night we were there. It's quite intimate - we got a chance to see the swing in use and as well, had the opportunity to use it ourselves. Of the three Desire Resorts, we liked the playroom at Pearl much better.
We found the hot tub at Pearl beautiful but a bit too big doe our liking - although it did lend itself to quite a party atmosphere and there was lots of room for everyone. Just be careful of all the ledges and steps. I know I came back with some big bruises on my legs. The bartenders there were amazing.
There were only 4 beds there and folks would 'reserve' them all day by putting their stuff on them but not using them. There are lots and lots of clean towels available but no where to put the used ones except to leave them lying around when you're done with them. There are lots of cubbies to put your belongings in while you're enjoying the hot tub.

Male half here this time. Glad to hear about the playroom being busy! Hopefully my better half will get into the mood for that.

Very disappointing to hear that people reserve the beds by the hot tub and then don't use the beds.

I wish the staff would address that. Is it poor etiquette to move their things to another spot and go ahead and use the bed since there is a limited supply? And then, of course, move their things back when you are done with the bed. I would hate to have that keep my wife and I from using one if she decides she is willing!

If she's willing and it's our stuff on the bed feel free to move it, throw it on the ground, or lay on top of it. I wouldn't wanna stand in the way of anyone's good time..or a free show!
