By any chance, is there a pharmacia within walking distance? This will be our first time to Pearl after many trips to Cabo and we really liked the fact that you could get just about anything you needed, including little blue pills, right across the street at the Mega Mart!

About a 20 minute walk into Puerto Morelos and you'll see one on the square. They close for siesta every afternoon.

BTW -A great option for dealing with any stomach issues while traveling is something that you can pick up at your local health food store or online called Activated Charcoal. It comes in pill form, does not require any prescription and it works great. It filters the bad stuff out of your system and takes care of montezuma's by the next day. We never travel to Mexico without it. We have never had any issues at Desire so you likely will not have any problems there, but we have gotten the bug when staying at another resort in Cancun. Grab a bottle back home to take with you just to be safe, you don't want to have your trip ruined from eating/drinking one wrong thing when in town or at another resort that doesn't use purified water.
