Last summer (first season of Pearl) the resort was at most 40% occupied so we never had a problem getting chairs at the pool where we wanted them. We will be arriving next week and it looks like a pretty full-house. What is the deal on reserving chairs? Thnaks
BTW, we arrive the 17th for a week.

Victor will put out the gold embroidered towels, along with a book, very early in the morning to reserve the lounger for members who request it. Quiet or party end of the pool.

Thanks, Do you know if that is the same Victor who last summer was managing one of the restaurants?

Last summer Ladi was managing Aphrodite - she is now client service manager at Cancun Temptations I believe - and I don't know who was managing the Pearl restaurant. I don't imagine it was Victor.

Member of what? What if you are just a couple that came to desire (and paid the prevailing price) to enjoy an au natural vacation and would like to have a chair/lounger by the pool in shade? Do you have to give up your first born, or just ask nicely for your preference and tip (compensate) accordingly?
Thanks.

That's about it - Be nice and tip accordingly.
P.s. Looks like we'll be there at the same time, this will be our 3rd trip to Pearl. See you in a couple of weeks.

We would show up at the beach and/or pool and would have no problem getting a lounger and/or shade in a spot we wanted. It was never an issue and we never had to reserve. I guess it also depends on the time of year.
The beach beds are another story, though. Admin note: they are reserved for those staying in the Penthouse suites
But we found the large, wooden lounge chairs to be very comfortable. Only twice did we want to be by the pool and had no problem getting loungers and/or a bed at the quiet end of the pool.

We are going in November and hoping to get a pool chair on the activities side and I don't want to have to wake up at 6 am to do so. I'm hoping there are chairs around 10 am..??
