Just out of curiosity, I was wondering what type of bands Pearl uses? Is it the same type as Desire RM? I thought I read somewhere that it was a beaded bracelet.

Also, after doing a search I read that at RM, the wristband must be worn on the wrist and not the ankle. Is this policy in place at Desire Pearl?

What type of band do they give to someone traveling as a member?

They are not the typical plastic bands. They have a nice cord and beads and a little clear plastic 'plaque' that has 'Desire Pearl' inscribed on it. The beads tended to get rusty by the end of the trip and the white cord wasn't very white by the end of the week as well. Nice souvenier, though.

That policy went out the window pretty quickly - you can wear your band on any part of your body that you choose to

How would you show you are a member to reap the benefits like certain discounts on massages and and gift shop wine list etc?

The bands you receive will indicate if you are a member.

The member bands are black. Tee regular bands are white with a plastic thing on them.
