We were there last year and didn't even see the steam room we've read that they charge for use. Can anyone tell us how much and does anyone even use it?

I have used it last year at RM without any charges. My understanding is that it is not normally in operation, but they will get it going if you ask for it.

is the steam room coed? My wife and I went to Europe and love the co-ed steam rooms. I read that RM was co-ed but not pearl. Can someone please clarify?

Steam room is whatever you want we went there as a couple went in via the men's side used the showers and spa no problems. We often use the spa when we are leaving take our bags to reception and later that day use the spa to shower and have a final couples spa/ sauna before going to the airport.

We were also hoping to use the day of our departure. Can you confirm that there is no cost? Were you there recently?

As far as I know the steam room is free at Desire RM but an extra charge at Pearl.

We were there in October, used the spa and showers etc in the Day Spa area on the day of departure so we could relax and freshen up before going to the airport. We checked out after lunch, went back to the pool as long as we could then an hour before our pickup headed to the spa area and there was no charge for the use. We have used the steam room/ Sauna on a previous trip at no cost but we had been using the spa for massages etc on a few days before so if there was a charge they didn't ask us for anything. Obviously there are charges for the massages etc but I was not aware of any charge for the sauna and steam room best to ask guest services or the spa when you get there.
