This is r 1st trip to desire pearl (dec 21-26) & 1st tym to Mexico for that matter! Can we visit desire resort RM during r stay at pearl? Do we need day passes? Is there a fee? (Besides cab ride) Can we attend a theme nite at the other resort? If so r themes the same at both resorts? From wat I gather it's aprox 15-20 mins away? Wanting to see both resorts 4 future visits lol alrdy planning next trip & havnt even gone on this one! We r sooo lookn 4ward to getn away & letn loose, c'mon dec 21st!!!

Ok,, so that was more than one question,,, sorry we r desire resort virgins!

Ok, let's see, I'll try to get all of these answered:

-Yes, you can visit RM while staying at Pearl, there is no fee!
-Themes are different so jump on their website - www.desireresorts.com and look on the nightly entertainment tab.
-The resorts are about 10-15 minutes away and cabs are pretty much on auto-pilot between both properties.

My advice would be to just ask the front desk staff about visiting RM and they'll make sure you are good to go! There are many people that go back and forth to see what they both have to offer. You will enjoy Pearl and also will like the vibe at RM....best of both worlds.

The wild party is at desire

We just got back from Desire RM and walked to and from Desire Pearl (hour and 15 mins approx). Pretty easy walk and only one area where the water was almost waist deep. We were welcomed with open arms - the staff remembered us from our previous visit. We ate lunch in the restaurant (loved the new renos) and the food was fabulous. We ordered off the a la carte menu but the buffet menu was spectacular with lots of variety of food - hot and cold. The service was impeccable. Fast, attentive and very personable.
There were some Pearl guests who came to Desire RM to play volleyball - they liked the court on the RM beach better - and they stayed all day.
We noticed later on in the week that the aquatic staff were shuttling some of the RM folks to Pearl and vice versa. What a great idea! Nice touch!!!!
There's no problem with any of the guests visiting either resort and partaking in activities and enjoying food and drink.
