Walk to Puerto Morelos?

Has anyone walked from Pearl to Puerto Morelos? How long does it take? Is it a good walk and is it safe?

We have walked a couple times but only on the beach it takes approx 20-30 min - we never felt in any danger we walked around the town went to shops everyone was very friendly, we will be back the week of July 4th and plan to go again

We walked to "town" during our visit last May. It was probably a 45 min. walk down the beach at a casual pace. Did some window shopping and walked around a bit. Felt very safe and will do it again when we head down in June.

We made it in twenty minutes but, we walk fast The walk is safe. Just be careful if you walk to the south end of Puerto Morelos on the beach you will have to step over lines that tie up the boats.There are a number of people on the beach but they all had their clothes on.

Took us 25 minutes to walk there. Started to rain, we made it back in 15 minutes (rather wet).

Just got back from jan26th to feb 2nd and walked to puorto Morelos 3 times takes anywhere from 15 to 30 mins depending on walking speed. Felt completely safe and even walked through the residential area on the "richer" side of town which is the side near the ocean where the shops open up from the boat docks.

We have done this walk at least a dozen times. Very safe, Puerto Morelos is great.

It's a lovely walk on the beach to the town. About half way you will see a red tent where you can get very good massage for about $30 dollars. Nothing intimate, jut good old massage. So you may want to add extra hour to your trip for this lovely treat.

We have done it in under 30 minutes. We wore or "Teva" sandals to save our feet from the shells, etc. Town is fun. People are friendly. Grabbed bears at a dive bar. If you buy any souvenirs - prices are VERY negotiable.
