Lifestyle at Pearl?

We read a lot about Pearl vs. Riviera Maya. Pearl sounds a little older and quieter. Will we find people interested in the lifestyle at Pearl?

Go without expectations. We are trying Pearl for first time for labor day after many visits to DRM. It helps to meet people here or other sites before you go if you are looking for that.

I'm not sure if we are in the little older category or not but certainly not quieter. We are in the lifestyle when opportunity arises. If it does not present itself then we have fun anyway!

Oh BTW, lifestyle couples will not typically force themselves on you so just have fun!

Were there for a week in late January/ early February. There was plenty of action. Average age was 45+.

D and T, we want to find lifestyle participants! But it is true that no one at Desire was pushy about it. We'll look for adventures, but enjoy each other, too.

It seems there are always folks game for fun times. And we've not found people to be too pushy at Desire.

One (rare) caveat....we were at Temptations about 8 days into a 10 day trip and we were completely exhausted.
We found a couple of loungers near the beach and we both miraculously fell asleep.
About ten minutes into blissful slumber a couple came and laid completely. on. top. of. us. both. [-X
Grrrrrr!!

We're usually voted 'most laid back', but we were pissed off bigtime....

That is just so wrong! While we are quite new to this (and prefer the term "sexually adventurous" to Lifestylers), we are very selective in who we choose to play with, and while we enjoy talking to absolutely anyone, when it comes to any physical contact - it has to be mutually agreed upon, otherwise there will be a problem. After 3 trips to Pearl, we have never had an issue with anyone crossing the etiquette line - while we meet plenty of people we would like to lay on top of us, it should be discussed first :-)

Why did this couple lay on top of you? Were they goofing on you or seeking sexual gratification? I will say the people we've met at Desire have more class than that.

Well, we would agree. We have never experienced anything like that at any of the Desire resorts, and we're seasoned Desire vets. :)
And to answer the second part: sexual gratification.
We had talked with this couple during the week and it was obvious that they were swingers and they sensed we were. So, they followed us around much of the time and we tried to politely let them know we weren't interested. They were just too overbearing. There is something about 'pushy' that completely nixes a sexy vibe and chemistry.
They must've figured they'd catch us when we laid down to sleep one afternoon. We nodded off into a very deep sleep along the beach and then they both just laid on top of us, her on me, he, on my wife!
My first knee-jerk waking reaction was to launch the person, (I could tell it wasn't my wife, her boobs are unmistakeable, grin)...but my common sense quickly rebounded and I sat up bewildered. Wife did so as well.
We told them that it was totally uncool and we hadn't slept most of the week due to a floor full of Kentucky folks that had all booked together, they partied all night in their rooms and slept all day. Unfortunately we adopted their schedule--minus the daytime sleep.

Wow, what a weird and inappropriate way to initiate contact! What were they thinking?
