Does anyone have an opinion about the wine?

House is poor in our humble opinion and the wine-list is over-priced, so we always bring several bottles to enjoy...

Until last year there was a choice of house wine (Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc for white) but now they have just one which, if my wine fuddled memory serves me right is a Semillon Chardonnay which we found to be perfectly acceptable. It's all about personal taste. Obviously there is a red and rose option too, and the "champagne" (cava) is quite delicious.

We leave any wine reviews to HeavyG so hopefully he sees this and chimes in. If you are selective on a particular vineyard or vintage you can certainly bring your own. Pearl does have a good selection for an additional price with a separate wine room from the restaurant which makes for a great private dinner.

Like so many things, depends on your taste, we love wine and travel to try new wines.
The White at Pearl is very drinkable (in part because it's so hot outside that cool wine goes down easily!), the reds are a little less enjoyable
So we bring a couple of reds and drink their white.
Any lack of choice or quality of wine is made up for in so many other ways!

Is there a wine list posted anywhere? If not, if anyone is going soon maybe they can take a snapshot of it with their phones and post it here...I would love to see what's on it and for what price if possible. That way I may or may not bring my own.

The wine list is fairly eclectic, overpriced, and totally misunderstood by the 'chef' and his brigade. If you are looking for any help on tasting notes and pairing with your meal - don't ask the staff; you'd be better off consulting a wine app or the inter webs from your phone. Last time we were there, the wine list was heavily populated with new world wine, mixed from larger known houses and some fairly obscure producers. On our first trip to Pearl (just months after it opened) we spent some time in the 'cellar' and asked a pile of questions about how they came upon this mix... we were told that the wines in the room were 'left over' from the previous incarnation of the resort. Don't know if that was true, or if they just couldn't answer our questions.

Yes, we do have an opinion about wine: this is a very enjoyable beverage: since life is so short, we should not waste our time by drinking bad one.

But we have to tell you that our ancestors were French, so our opinion may be somewhat biased by these origins...
