We are going to Desire Pearl next week (first timers). We have read a lot about not missing the foam party. Our question is, what the heck happens in there. Is it a lot of incidental contact or full on groping and more? Do you tend to loose your partner? Please enlighten us to the experience - Thank you

Came back recently from Pearl and attended the foam party on Sat afternoon. It starts from 2 and last an hour. A big machine by the pool pumping out foam onto the water. People got into the pool with or without swim suit, most without anything, and play with the foam. Is it silly ? yes it is. It is fun ? yes it is. Incidental contacts ? yes, I did bump into someone several times bottom to bottom because you can not see clearly with so much foam around. But a sorry will be fine and we departed. Groping? never encountered, but I can not say absolutely no, just very unlikely. Yes, you may lose your partner when there is so much foam between you. But the pool is not so big that you could not find your partner again. The pool ground does get slippery when covered with foam. No worry, just get into the water and play.

Foam, music pumping, crazy poolside dancing, body shots in the pool, inflatables..... sooooooo much fun!

We are arriving this Saturday 14th around noon, staying until Thursday. Have read about the foam party for almost a year now. Sounded like fun and was very much looking forward to it but just got an email from our travel agent saying the foam party was being moved to Friday. VERY DISAPPOINTED if this is the case. To look forward to somethng for 9-10 months and then 3 days out it get changed to one of the 2 days you won't be there really blows. Can anyone that is there now verify this ?

Ive sent Desire Pearl Front desk manager an inquiry to find out if the Foam Party was changed. Hopefully they get back to me soon.
That would suck if they have changed it.

It might be due to there is a Guest Special Event for that weekend of the 14th and they have other activities planned.

Don't let this put a damper on your vacation, if you miss a foam party. We were just there last week, at the resort for TWO of them, and didn't play in the foam. The first one, it was raining, and the foam wasn't building well in the pool (plus we had JUST gotten there and were still without a room and feeling unsettled). The second one, the pool was so dirty beforehand, that the last thing we wanted to do was jump in, foam or no foam. Look, the folks at RM don't even HAVE a foam party and they still manage to have a great time. The resort built its excellent reputation on its other assets - beautiful grounds and rooms, top notch service, excellent food and drink, and of course the opportunity to enjoy the nude/swing lifestyle. This is one event, 2 hours out of your time at Pearl. Since it's rainy season, there's no way of knowing that even if it hadn't been moved to a different day, it wouldn't have been rained out anyway. I understand the disappointment, but looking at the big picture, it's a blip, really.

Reminds us of last 4th of July week due to winds & rains foam parties at both Pearl and RM kept getting moved around through out the week. RM DOES INDEED have a foam party @ Tennis Courts on Tuesday nights.

LOL - Obviously you haven't been to Desire RM in the last three years - the Desire RM foam party is held every Tuesday evening starting at 10pm

It is still listed on the ECs weekly activity chart to occur on Sat June 14, 2014

My mistake. We had friends staying at RM in May who visited Pearl specifically for the foam party because they said there wasn't one over at RM. They weren't there an entire week, so perhaps I misunderstood, and they just weren't there on the day that RM had it.That's an idea.... see if you can talk the concierge into a day (or afternoon) at RM to take advantage of THEIR foam party?

@Cokemann... Appreciate that you looked into it and for posting the chart. Maybe the change occurs the next weekend after we are gone or a mistake in the info we got.

@Budlee....Would not have put much of a damper on the trip missing it. Just that it was something we kinda were looking forward to after reading on here for a year NOT to miss it we were initially a little bummed. We are newbs to the C/O thing like many others here and thought it would be a good way start out the trip and an easier way to get over that hurdle of being naked around others. Unfortunate to hear the pool got so dirty that you didn't even want to get in it on your trip. Hope things are better for us next week.

We just got home last night from Pearl, so we got to witness the foam party there first-hand on Saturday, 6/7. We didn't know what to expect, but it was fun. I got bumped into one time by someone looking for his wife, but there was no unwanted groping going on. It was kind of freaky and hard to breathe if the foam came over your head and engulfed you, which happened to us several times. Just splash your face with water so you can breathe or move out of it. It was fun and slippery for the most part, though, with foam several feet over your head. We were looking forward to it, too, just because we had never been to one. Honestly, though, I would not be upset if we missed it next time.
