Yes, nicer shorts and nicer sandals are fine at Aphrodite. I have to say, it was a pleasure seeing pretty much ALL the men making the effort to spiff up a bit, for us women. All the guys looked great!

what about shorts @ suki terrace?
is it outside or is it glass?

Suki Terrace is outside, so shorts are probably fine (I think I saw men in shorts), but long pants may be more comfortable, as it is extremely buggy in that area (the pond right there). For sure, use your bug spray before eating at Suki. Definitely worth it - great meal, but the skeeters were a drag.
