On the resort website we noted that many of the promotional offers were contingent on capacity of the resort... Basically they reserve the right to change the rate later if they're at capacity. Anyone know how often this happens? Planning a trip in august or September.

Surely this is what happens at every hotel? Prices go up or down according to capacity, public holidays, Christmas etc. But when you've booked at a rate, that;s the rate you pay regardless of further increases.
September at RM - huge discount right now!

Once you book at a price and pay the minimal deposit you are locked in at your rate.
This is normal business practice. Supply and Demand

Totally agree regarding price changes due to supply and demand. Not questioning that. I was referring to the language that suggested the rate could change after booking. From what you say you're locked in at the sorrowful rate once you book. Thanks!

I have a great rate so I have no complaints. You can always ask if they will adjust your rate based on the lowest advertised rate. The worst they can say is no.
