Rooms?

If you are looking for anything contemporary, ala Vegas hotels, well then you will be disappointed. However, the rooms are spacious and bathrooms are nice......alas one doesn't go for the rooms, it's the vibe, people and the sexy atmosphere that rock Pearl. Oh yeah the food is very good as well.....

Yes. The rooms are not much to talk about. But the atmosphere is why we are going back for the second trip this year. The food was good too, but nothing spectacular though.

The rooms are not Peninsula/Four Seasons. However, they aren't Motel 6 either. We just got back from staying at the Omni (Chicago) and the rooms are on the same level. As a whole, Pearl would be rated as a four diamond/star property.

I don't think the rooms have been updated since DP took over the hotel from what it was previously. And, previously, it wasn't an adults-only, sexy, sensual resort... thus the room decor not matching the "theme". That being said, the rooms are spacious, immaculate, well appointed, very comfortable. I am looking forward to the day that the rooms get a rehab, to bring them more in line with the general feel of the resort, but until then, they suffice. But, I agree... they don't really go with the aura of the resort.

Not sure what all the fuss is about the rooms is about? When we are at Desire we only sleep, change clothes and clean up in the room. So we spend about 10 hours a day in the room. As long as it is clean and has the items that we need we are happy as we would rather be at the pool meeting and visiting with other guest.

And as far as not being in them much, the week we were there, it rained a LOT, and we were in the room a LOT. We love socializing, meeting new folks, etc... but the best, quality time is the private time with just the two of us together....

We found the rooms at pearl be nice -- certainly resort level. It was pretty much the last thing we worried about when booking a return trip.
