Are the radios in the rooms equipped with a port / s for plugging in external music devices ??

Yes, there is a docking station for iPod or iPhone up to 4s

The docking station on the clock in our room worked for my 5s.

One thing we found, at least on the radio in our room, is that there was only an IPod/IPhone dock. No auxiliary jack for other devices.
