Pool Music at Pearl

When we were there last September we actually don't remember hating the music. Lounge music in the AM and Pop/Dance in the Afternoon. However, one day I remember that they let one of the guests plug his Ipod in. Though I have to say the DJ must have reviewed it because it was very Dance/Techno. We are thinking maybe we will try to create a "Desire Mexico" mix for the Ipod and see if we can get them to play it. We are pretty musically diverse and in our late 30s/early 40s with an appreciation for the fun "oldies". Has anyone else tried having them play your Ipod?
