Is December a very slow month?

We're booked for the first week of December and judging by the amount of people posting their arrival dates in that thread, it looks like it may be a very quiet vacation....unless it is just too early to tell and a lot of people are going to book last minute? Pearl is already on the quiet side so I'm hoping we have enough people around to create a fun atmosphere! We have never traveled in December before....can anyone that goes regularly at this time comment on the usual occupancy?

We're arriving on Dec 10th and are worried about the same thing. We went over to Pearl for a few days in mid-Dec last year while the pool at DRM was under repair, and it seemed pleasant and full enough during the days, but we weren't certain how many were from DRM and how many were from Pearl. Fingers crossed that bookings pick up!

Was on the Desire booking page and it looks like a few rooms on a few of the days are fully booked...(Nov 29-Dec7th). Hopefully it'll be more then just us in the hottub

Found out they're at 70% occupancy for that week...and are hoping to fill up the rooms with the great special of 4th night free. Had to contact the resort for something else so I just asked them how the week was looking.
