Hi everyone, just looking for some recent experiences with transport to and from the airport. I just clicked on the book with USA transfer and instead get

Bahia Petempich Transportation

WTF, who are these people and what happened to USA transfer ?

Are they legit?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes that freaked us out too! I'm sure CokeMan will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Bahia Petempich is the area that Desire is in.
All ran smoothly with USA Transfers as usual.

Yes that is USA Transfers - the link I provided and you clicked on just takes you directly to the USA Transfers booking page for Desire Riviera Maya which is located on the Bahia Petempich areaof the Rivera Maya.

We've booked with Alldotours as they were pointed by Desire as their new transport svcs company, however despite notifying them that our flight was delayed and scheduled to arrive 2 hrs late (~1AM) they did not wait for us, and end up using a taxi from the airport, ofcourse we did not get any refund from Alldotours, won't recomend using them

Shxt ! delays happen all the times. How could a transportation company did that (leaving the paid customer with no car !)

We just returned and used aventours and was very happy, liked the fact that the ride was waiting. None of this stand over here then they call the ride and in 20 minutes they show up. That's what we experienced with USA Transfer our last few trips. But aventours is more expensive.

Just booked with USA Transfer, has anyone had any issues paying with Canadian dollars?

No prob, we do it all the time they take CAD at par with USD

Paid in $Can in August. Tipped in pesos though.

We used USA Transfers. No issues. The staff was waiting for us outside the airport. We only waited about 15 minutes before we were on our way. They arrived about ten minutes early to take us back to the airport.

Anyone know the cost for a standard taxi from the resort to the airport?

If memory serves me correct, it is roughly $45 to the airport in a taxi....there are standard rates posted outside the lobby and they are readily available.

We paid $35 this week for a taxi after Lomas screwed up our travel dates and didn't pick us up (I doubt a refund is coming our way). At least we made our flight...and met a wonderful local (the taxi driver)!
