We are stunned that so many couples choose to not go completely nude at an obviously clothing optional resort. Have to say at maya- this was not the case. A bit to tame here. This will be our second day here. Nov. 5th.

We go in January and while we were there very few had on anything at the pool and beach. I think as the weekend gets closer more will get comfortable.

Bathing suits were few and far between when we were there, but I guess they are either voyeurs or there for the "other" dimension of the resort.

Interesting! Understand this is just your observation but you almost come across upset that some people chose the "option" to keep clothes on. We have found some women wear their bottoms due to "that time of the month" or whatever their reason. Also, it can be tame at Pearl or RM depending on the crowd there during any given day/week. At least that's what we've found over our 22 trips to all three of the Desire properties. Regardless, we make our own fun whichever resort we visit!

We were at Pearl exactly a month ago and there were very few, if any, bathing suits around. Usually people running around to the lobby or into the restaurant.

What does 'clothing optional' mean?? That's the nice thing about Desire Resorts. We can all enjoy it the way we want to, not how someone else says we should.

Do we love the option of being nude? Yes. Do we care if anyone else does? Nope. We love options.

There are resorts that have a nude beach, like the Couples resorts in Jamaica. There, you better be full nude or they won't let you in the nude beach. But absolutely NO PDS. Desire is clothing optional and PDA or PDS is allowed/encouraged. We are happy that people can do as they wish and no one is judged. Most if the time, Desire is 90% full nude and in my book that is an "A".

We don't care if people at Desire is clothed or nude. We choose to be naked, we even don't pack a single bathing suit, but respect those who choose wear something. From my male point of view, sometimes women look more attractive with a small or sheer piece of clothing than fully nude.

We were also there a few weeks ago, and most everyone was bathing suit free at the pool, jacuzzi and beach. I did see some in suits, and whatever reason they have is valid for them. It was a great time either way.

I agree that clothing optional means everyone has an option to wear a suit...but I also think that it is more fun for those naked when more people participate in the nude option! I am not sure how long you will be there...but the Party Naked Baby group is slowly trickling in now...we will be there in full force on Sunday. We have almost 50 couples in our group...and most of us will choose the nude option. We are a pretty lively group...wont be dull at Pearl soon! Hope to meet you in a few days...we get in on Sunday!

We would be very disappointed if we went to Desire and nobody else was naked. That would suck! Luckily, I don't think that'll ever happen

At Pearl now...I saw only a handful of suits poolside today. Probably 80% or higher are naked. I suppose it just depends on the week!

FWIW, clothing optional should never be considered or suggested as the clothed option is somehow a sad or second rate option. It is a perfectly appropriate option when it is one that is offered.

People have their reasons for reaming clothed or partially clothed. Those reasons deserve the same level of respect one should afford, and should hope for in return, in other areas of choice such as hair or bare, private play or public play, lifestyle friendly or committed to monogamy.
