Wednesday foam party at Pearl?

For the past two weeks I noticed on the desire blog, where they post the weekly schedule, there is a foam party listed on Wednesday. This is in addition to the Saturday one. Which still shows This only just began showing up last week. Does anyone have any insights on this?

Probably because of a larger group or two in Resort those weeks. Groups tend to arrive and leave on Saturday's which is the regular Pearl Foam party day. We were there the week before Halloween. There was a large group coming in Halloween week and there is also a group there now.

I don't know but we monitor the blog at Blog.desireresorts.com and look at the weekly posted schedule to see if any changes in activities, theme nights, etc

I am at Pearl now. There was a foam party listed as an activity for 2pm today on the paper Desire gave us at check in...but it was not on the activity board by the pool today and it did not happen today. Glad we will be here for the Saturday one!

Bummer...can you ask them why they dropped it and if they plan on doing mid-week foam parties in Dec, esp because they are running 4 night/day specials, they should do regular midweek foam parties, so every one can have a chance.

Not like there can be too much foam.

When are the foam parties at DRM? Is it free to visit/eat/drink at DRMV

I returned from Pearl yesterday. There were two foam parties last week - Wed. and Saturday. I was speaking to the GM and he stated they will have two foam parties per week because of popular request / guest feedback. However, the weather, and especially wind direction, plays a big part. (The water in the pool is pretty brisk this time of year anyway!!)

I believe it's $150 for a pass to visit. However, there is a coupon that you receive if/when you listen to the sales pitch regarding membership. With the coupon, the visit is free. Others here can tell you the fee for the cab ride.

Definitely no Wed foam or mid-week parties at SP. Sat only. Supposedly they did one on a Wed a few weeks ago for a group, but that was a one-off event. Too bad, seeing how heavily the 4 night package is promoted and many of those trips don't include a Sat night...I don't know why they don't do it twice, it seems like such a signature event...would it really ruin it for the Sat people if they had another foam party on Wed?
