Mosquitoes in Early Dec?

Ugh, hmm, all these naked bodies and lots of mosquitos doesn't sound like a loving combination?
Aren't the mosqutos worst at night or does the Pearl jacuzzi somehow scare them away?

Posted: Thu Nov 20, 2014 10:03 amWe are currently at Pearl and the mosquitoes have been bad. I've gotten over 2 dozen bites all over body....mostly on feet and legs. Sunset and early evening are the worst. Bring insect repellent!

Even in the hot tub area?
Those are our favorite times and most romantic times of the day in resort properties...
Guess we'll load up on water repellent, pleasant smelling, bug spray like Avon Skin So Soft and Off Soft and Dry.

Posted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 6:53 pmI brought silk and smooth Off and Avon something, and frankly, never really encountered any mosquitoe issues...maybe of the first night i got a few bights...not even sure I used the repellant. Didn't seem like a problem. Ms. BeantownNewbs never used anything and I never heard a word about a mosquito bite from her. So, go figure...mosquitoes were a non-issue for us.

Early Jan at Pearl: also very few mosquitoes, maybe a few bites around 5-5:30 on a pool bed one day. Otherwise zero mosquito bites.
Early Jan at DRM: numerous very visible tiny mosquitoes flying around our bodies and bites on beds around the pool from 2:30-3:30pm. I don't know if this is typical -- that there are generally more mosquitoes at DRM vs DP -- but if so, that would be a big factor in my resort selection.
Also, today at DP, we had a knock on the door around 1pm and there was a guy wanting to come in and spray for mosquitoes.
