Looking to refine my tipping strategy

As mentioned in another post in the past, I bring down a whack of 20 peso notes to hand out for minor tips. The money is plastic and it doesn't matter if it gets wet in the pool or hot tub.

This may have been answered somewhere, but when you tip Jared or Victor for pool loungers do they reserve them for you for your entire stay or just for that day? I have a handful of 50 peso notes and wondered what is typical. We are only there 4 nights. I am happy to pay for great service.

We ended up selecting the same beach chairs/palapa each day, but it wasn't automatic that they would be waiting for us each day, for our entire stay. We tipped Jared/Victor on a daily basis rather than once in the beginning of our stay, to cover us for the week.
