what type of shoes do women wear with their swimsuit?

High Heels with(out) swim suit?

We've seen flip flops, high heels, sandals, barefooted - without or without swimsuits or parts of swimsuits, sexy cover-ups, belly chains, big hoop earrings, sticker jewellery, body piercings, etc. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

We didn't even PACK swimsuits. I would wear a pareo or some sort of sheer, barely there cover-up to the pool/beach with flip flops (covered JUST enough to be acceptable in the Aphrodite restaurant). I'm not gonna try to navigate sand and slippery pool decks in high heels, plus personally, I think that getup looks ridiculous.

Well said, Budlee. Good to know we aren't the only ones who think high heels at the pool looks ridiculous - but to each their own.

It depends on the definition of "high heels". I agree that stilettos or club heels look silly around the pool. However, heels *do* make you ladies look even better and my wife has a pair of heeled sandals (the kind with the cork looking wedge sole) that I think look pretty good with a suit. They are beachy casual but the lift does a little bit of whatever the hell heels do to enhance the look.

Alas, she doesn't really like to wear them that much because she doesn't want to slip - and they hurt her feet. (Sigh)

By all means wear the heals to the disco and leave the bikini on the floor The good lord invented heels for a reason

People DO wear heels at the pool but i never have, the last thingI need to is to slip and fall while naked and in front of my fellow vacationers I usually have on flip-flops or sandals to get down to the pool, then barefoot the rest of the day except for meals. Whatever you feel comfortable with thats what you should do though, thats the beauty of DP - anything goes

I get it. I usually wear a sandal with some sort of heel...even 1/2 inch. Some days I strut a 3 inch wedge. Usually without a full bathing suit....maybe a bottom and a sheer top. though while we enjoy being nude on vacation we are not nudists/naturalists...I love fashion too much to be a nudist/naturalist. However, We love seeing/meeting all kinds lifestyles at Pearl and that's why we are returning again for our 3rd time in Feb.

Whilst not for me personally, heels can look amazing with a swimsuit. Our last two trips we met the same stunning lady who made an entrance every day in a perfectly coordinated outfit, usually a micro mini string bikini, matching wrap, sunhat and stripper shoes! It was like having our own fashion show every day.
