Just wondering by opinion what your favorite month to travel to desire is we pick January because of swingers month thinking that would be the most wild or erotic time to go your point of view would be appreciated.

We have been over labor day weekend and the first week of August and both were pretty tame. But as many point out, it all depends on the crowd that is booked when you are there.

January is a traditionally slow month at almost all resorts - ISM is a Desire promotion to help build interest in people making bookings for this time period.

Not saying don't go, but it probably will not be as busy as other popular times of the year... look at some of the trip reports from last Jan to get an idea of how it was for those that went at that time

I believe that the weather in January can be a bit on the chillier side as compared to many other months. We typically go to Pearl in June, when the weather is usually in the 80's to 90's during the day. Too, rates are reduced at this time. Regarding the "wildness" factor, as has been stated several times previously, it's all about the particular crowd when you are there. During our upcoming trip to Pearl on June 8-16, I have heard that there will be a group there ..... the makings for lots of fun to be had by all! Hey, come and join us!

We also love the summer and early fall months. We love the heat 90 and sunny all day and 80 at night, gulf is like bath water and pool is just refreshing, jacuzzi is a bit to hot (IMHO) but you can sit on the edge or get a bed. Only time you really feel the heat is in the lobby, it can be like a Sauna. Can't imagine having to put clothes on to stay warm at Desire or jumping in a cold pool!

Thanks for all your input people and like you all say it all depends on the group that is there that makes the environment fun can't wait I'm sure will enjoy our first trip to the zaires happy new year
