Waking up for Sunrise: Big Highlight!

So, today was our last day for this visit and we set the alarm for 6:25am for sunrise at 6:35...and it was so cool.

Our avatar pic is from our balcony (room 84), just as the sun is coming up. With CokeMann's help, maybe I will be able to upload some others -- we have a bunch that are very cool.

We went down to the beach and one of the security guards took the initiative and came over to us and suggested we go down to the end of the dock...super nice, he opened the gate to the dock and we went out to the end and took a bunch more pics and fully enjoyed that experience...then, went down to the other end of the beach and took some more pics by the lifeguard stairs/hut...

By then, it was close to 7am, and we were the first people at Aphrodite for breakfast and had a nice, very fresh meal (the food can sit there for a while, so there is a benefit to "fresh cooked").

Then, we went back to the room and slept for a few hours. While I'm not a morning person...I am so glad we did it...interesting to see that there are indeed a few people up early and it's an eerily cool time of day. It can be hard to do...so easy for either person to hit the snooze button and urge the other to go back to sleep...we almost did that, but we were very happy we got up and ventured out and highly recommend it.

It's great you did that! We've been there, due to time zone differences we always wake up very early the first few days (don't know why it changes after a few nights :D/ ).

It's great to feel and see the early sun while taking a stroll on the beach. Thanks for sharing!

Cool to see an occasional sunrise- a question though- if one were so inclined, is it possible to see the sun rise before going to bed while still keeping the bar service going? We had many great nights at Hedo 3 before it closed where we watched the sun set and managed to see it rise, with only quick trips to replenish from the midnight buffet.

The hot tub bar closes at 3am. The lobby bar is open 24hrs. Breakfast opens at 7am. Room service is 24 hrs (I think).

Just FYI, there is a period of time at night around 10:00 when there is no food available, even room service. It only lasts about 30 min to an hour, but it can catch you off guard and starving if you aren't aware of it.

I typically wake VERY early regardless of when I go to bed. I have spent many mornings on the beach beds watching the sun come up. Great way to start the day for sure.
