Does the entertainment staff or the hotel organize any trips off the resort to clubs in the area, or up to Cancun clubs or Playa De Carmen, etc? Or does everyone pretty much stay on site?

No, with the "entertainment" :wink:

available on campus, most feel no need to leave the resort.

Few people leave the resort, except perhaps to go to the other Desire.
