Can somebody please advise the best method of booking a holiday at Pearl (best = most affordable)
1. Contact the site direct
2. Via an online site such as booking.com etc

If you book through this forum the owner will make a few very well earned dollars for his efforts. We booked through Expedia, it was the cheapest we could find.

we use points for our flights, book directly with the resort and book USA For our transfers. Desire and USA can be booked through links on this forum. In many (15ish?) trips we have never had any issues.

Orbitz was always the best for us.

First you should check all of the available upcoming resort Promos to see if you could take advantage of any of them

Next, since you are unlikely to get a package deal of resort+air from Oz it is important for you to know that the Desire Resorts don't discount as far as room only pricing

ie: you will find the same prices(within a dollar or two) whether you book direct, through a travel agent or through a on line place like you mentioned.

Used Char travel 6 times. They include transfers.

You might want to check the resort website and on the group calendar here to see if there will be a group going at the same time you are wanting to book. If so, you may want to book through the group. If you book with the group, you can be included in any activities they put together at the resort and take part in any pre-trip chat sessions to meet the people who will be there at the same time as you. We have tried it both ways, but we prefer traveling with groups.
