What is there to do when it's raining, at the resort.....besides the obvious 'in room activities'??

When does Rain season start? And why limit it to "in room"? LOL I'm sure there are ton's of activities that either the staff start or better the guests will.

During our 8-night stay last June, we had one or two sunny days out of the whole week, which sort of sucked. There isn't a whole lot to do. And, for quite a bit of the time, the rain was very heavily wind driven, so we couldn't even sit out on our balcony without getting soaked. They put out some games in the lobby, but there really weren't any activities going on, that we could see. Lots of things they COULD have done in the lobby or disco, like pole dancing lessons, mixology class, spanish lessons, etc.....

Fortunately, the rain wasn't nonstop, so even when it was completely overcast, we lounged on the beach... just very little sun.

We had a rain day in December. The entertainment staff set up some games in the lobby area. We ended up having a ping pong tournament for example. It was actually quite a pleasant afternoon although that might have something to do with the proximity of the lobby bar.

I guess the answer to the original question is that when it rains the activities are moved into the covered lobby area.

We were there then. It was a down pour. Evenings were nice. Hot tub to lobby during the days.

We were there in the last week of this past March. Saturday afternoon after the foam party, we were all in the hot tub and the clouds started to roll in. Everyone stayed in the tub and kept drinking and having fun.

A little bit later it started to sprinkle and then there was some thunder. Hmm, we should probably think about getting out if there is going to be lightning - Nah, it'll blow by.

A little bit later there were some flashes of lightning. Wow, we *really* should think about getting out.

More lightning and thunder but a soft rain. Some people left but there was still a large crowd in the tub. It finally blew through and cleared up. It was really stupid for us to be in the water during that. I joked that all of our families would find out where we were when the news story broke that "25 Swinger Couples Electrocuted in Mexico" and they had to come down and fetch our bodies.

Really dumb...

In my defense, there were naked women *everywhere*. I can't be held responsible for rational thinking in that kind of situation.

I was there that exact same day. We chickened out and went to the lobby bar. It was actually very nice, met some new couples we wouldn't have otherwise met. You can't go wrong either way.
