We'll be arriving at DP before noon, our room is not going to be ready until later in the afternoon. I guess we can change at the spa?, meaning we have to bring something in the carry-on. Any advice where to hang on while room is ready? Another question, people get dress for theme night for dinner or after? Wife asks if ladies dress up for dinner or lingery and if for any meals dress code really applies? Thanks for any feedback

You can change in the bathroom at the lobby...just ask, they will direct you. Put on as much or little or no bathing suit and sunscreen....head on towards the pool.....find a lounge to park your carry on, and swim up to the bar for a relaxing beverage, while you wait. You are at the beach of your desires! You will be pampered and spoiled. Cheers!

You can also change in the spa, they will give you a locker to hold your stuff...

For your second question, the answer it depends. *Generally* (which means it's not a rule and you are absolutely free to do what you want but) the women dress for dinner in classy/sexy outfits and then change into their theme/disco wear after dinner. The only "dress code" that I know of is in the Pearl restaurant where the men need to wear long pants and shoes (not sandals or flip-flops).
Those are just generalities though. Many ladies wear their dinner outfit to the disco. The general suggestion is to take some sexy clothes and then take some *really* sexy clothes. Then get a feel for the vibe yourselves. Your room is not that far away so you can always change it up.

It's always a good idea to carry a few items in your carry on luggage (swimsuit - if you choose to wear one -- one day's attire, sunscreen, etc) as you might be surprised how often luggage is lost and doesn't show up for a day or two later.

We always arrive before noon. We strip and head to the pool. I would feel awkward wearing something.

Im lucky to make it out of the Lobby area before the wife's clothes come flying off.
Literally walking to our room she is stripping nekkid!
Carry on luggage clothing? doesnt happen. We throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may. If we luggage is lost im sure we can figure out a solution.
