FYI, talked to friends that are at Pearl now, lobby is almost closed in should be done by the end of the week. Great news for the people that visit in the summer months, maybe not so good for the winter time visitors. Just wish they would get rid of the pond and make a outside gathering space like RM.

Hope, hope, hope ....... we arrive at Pearl on Monday, the 6th, and it sure would be nothing short of wonderful to enjoy air conditioning ..... especially in the evenings for night time entertainment!

I agree. the pond serve no purpose.

A nice sitting area with fire pits would be great. Nice big oversized chairs, a few palapa beds...
RM does have a nice socializing area that is very much needed at Pearl.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but we like the open lobby at Pearl simply because it's tropical warm in the evenings! The two restaurants run the air con at a temperature that feels cold for us. Really hope they don't run the air con in the lobby so cold that I freeze wearing next to nothing.....

We agree.... I want to feel like I'm in the tropics, when I'm in the tropics.... AC is okay for sleeping, but typically it's kept too darn cold. Do away with the pond (mosquitoes) but leave the lobby open air!

For anyone who's been to Pearl from May to October knows, the AC is a must. Dancing, drinking, conversing... just sitting perfectly still, it's to hot and humid (especially hot) to enjoy each other's company after a nice relaxing dinner. As long as DJ's, bands, performances are going to happen in the lobby, it's really needed. Sometimes dripping sweat can zap your energy and kill the vibe. Just my thoughts.....

Couldn't agree more. Some of the best entertainment is held here (live bands, dancing) and, especially in summer, it's waaaayyyyy too hot to appreciate. Looking forward to taking full advantage of a cool Pearl in September!
