Will be in cancun later this month and curious if they sell day passes. Does anyone know?

No, they do not.

We just got back from Desire Pearl they brought a bus load of folks from DRM to Pearl for our foam party. Also they set up a barbecue for these folks (we, too, could partake in that). So that might be something for you to look in to.

But perhaps you are not staying at DRM? Then I would say that Powderfinger is correct.

Just yesterday got an email from a travel agent selling a package to Pearl that includes a DRM daypass, and a package to DRM that includes a daypass to Pearl, but it did not say anything about "outsiders" being able to get a day pass to either. Nick (and the lush Kitty)tm

Via earlier entries on the forum, unless you are staying at one of the two resorts, you are not permitted to visit or obtain a day pass. Related, I believe, there is a two day minimum for reservations at either RM or Pearl. Who would want to only stay for only two days? .............. Wow, it's hard to leave after a full week!

You can get a day pass to RM or Pearl if you are staying at the other resort.

You can not get a day pass if you are not a paid guest at one of these resorts already.

You can not invite friends to the resort for the day either.

No wrist band, no entry

When we stayed at Pearl last October they were selling day passes to DRM, but they were expensive - can't remember the exact cost but I think over 100USD. Plus you paid for your own taxi at around 30USD. We heard DRM was selling passes to Pearl for the same price.

It would be nice to check it out for a day but not for $130+.

If you are a member of Pearl, you can visit DRM or Temptations any time you wish, no charge. Just pay for the taxi ride.
If you arranged your membership via DRM, you can visit Pearl, but there may be a charge. No charge to visit Temptations.
If you are a member at Temptations, you can not visit Pearl or DRM.
If you are not a member and are staying at Pearl or DRM, there is a charge to visit the sister resort.

On the flight down to Cancun last month, we sat beside a couple who have been members of Temptations for years. They have never visited DRM or Pearl. They have never been to a meeting to upsell their membership to include the other resorts. They had heard that only older people go to DRM and the Pearl, and they like the party atmosphere of Temptations. When we got to the Pearl, we enquired about this couple visiting us for a day since they knew us and were now curious about Pearl. The above information was what we were told at the front desk.

Excellent summary Only add on is the free pass to sister resort if you attend the membership presentation on arrival or if you're staying in RM or DP during the SYW during August

Not sure it's available if you booked before the promo, but never hurts to ask...
