In a number of the threads, there is mention of the "fun end" of the pool. What makes it the fun end? What is the other end lacking? Also, are there sun umbrellas all around the pool, or just at the fun end? I need shade--but I also want fun!

[Apologies if this is covered elsewhere -- I looked, but could not find the answer.]

The "fun end" is where the pool bar is and, as well, most of the water activities happen. The entertainment desk is also there so you will hear all what's going on in and around the pool. Most, if not all, the loungers around that end of the pool seemed to be reserved for members. There are sun umbrellas there as well.

The quiet end of the pool is a little farther removed from all the social activities and there are loungers and beds set up there. And there is shade as well.

We tended to hang out at the beach - lots of shade there.

The pool is veryyy long. The quiet end has beds which are occupied by couples enjoying reading, dipping and easy access to their rooms at that end. Still they are close to pier, scuba shop and beach when needed. Bottom line: there are no bad locations

The jacuzzi is also located at the "fun" side of the pool.

What happens on the fun end of the pool stays at the fun end of the pool.

We love the quiet end of the pool...as we call it "the country"...but every so often we would take a visit in to "the city" - the FUN end.... Our lives are so busy and hectic, a few days sitting naked and reading is our idea of heaven! And that is what makes Desire the perfect vacation....anything goes... Please tell me they still have the green juice too....I LOVE that stuff!!!!
