Im not a complainer and am only starting this thread because I love the place, we even became members this year. Our only complaint, past 3 years, is the music in the disco. No one likes it! When the show is over, the place is empty within an hour. Every trip we have been on people complain about the music! I'm only bringing this up to hopefully help the resort improve in the future. If we are in the minority, please chime in. If you agree, please reply and maybe Pearl will take notice.

I understand that you can't please everyone! However, why can't you? I see know reason why you can't provide a mix of popular music to get everyone on the floor. For every hip hop, why cant you play a country song? Add some popular 50's, 60's, 70's........ That's my .02 worth.

Again, we are only trying to enhance our visits.

One of the highlights was when Kevin, from Atlanta but originally Oklahoma, took his guitar in the hot tub and played as everyone sang along!

Kevin, if you see this, message us....Kevin and Alaina :US

Agreed. We noticed this last year. Once the show is over we are out of there.

We enjoyed the disco music last August. Although on the "upper end of the DP demographic" we also enjoy the South Beach FL vibe and the heavy base, techno oriented music (Pit Bull video last year was great). I know that may be strange, but its not music we listen to at home and perhaps its the only thing that pierces the mojito fog???
Also mirrors the heart pumping excitement of the Desire experience. :D

I usually request songs and the DJ at Pearl is more than happy to play what you want and in a timely fashion.

We agree with what has been posted here. After the show in the disco the DJ will play some dance music, some people will dance but they don't stay long and the disco clears out. Not sure where everyone goes but I know it's not the hot tub. It's usually pretty quiet there, too.

Only once or twice did we see anyone in the playroom.

So, if more people made some requests to the DJ, maybe that will keep the party going for those of us who aren't quite ready to call it a night.

We're in the minority, but we liked the music in the disco after the show... But you're right, the club emptied out after the show. Not sure where everyone goes? We usually stayed for a while and danced.

3 more months! :D

We were there and May and for the first four nights the disco was as you said, totally empty within an hour. On the fifth night, they played 70's, 80's & 90's music only (complete with videos as well) and it was great. The place stayed busy for a few hours, everyone was up dancing....it was a lot of fun. I'm not sure why it took four nights though.
