Number of dresses 4 the ladies /day - newbie confused Help!

This is the Mrs speaking . We are newbies to the CO arena in general and Desire Pearl in particular . Visiting Pearl next month and starting to think about the dresses . I read many posts on the forum and now a bit confused on the number of dresses I need to carry for a day . Hope some of the ladies who are here can help me with your comments and suggestions .

I guess a typical day would start with some exercise and then go for the breakfast - so thats Dress # 1

Understand that after breakfast each one tends to do different things - like goto pool or beach - that would be Swim suit - Dress # 2

What do you wear if you were to just roam around the resort and enjoy the beauty ? ? ?

In the evenings what do you wear if you are to goto restaurant to have some snacks ? does it need to be sexy revealing dress all the time ?

Understand that for Dinner pretty much everyone gets dressed up nice and formal - so thats Dress # 3

After dinner , people change to theme night - sexy and revealing - thats Dress # 4

Can we wear this and goto jacuzzi area or do we need to go and change to something again ? - Dress # 5 ?

And ofcourse once back in room, need to change to sleep wear - dress # 6 ( or go full monty - one less dress ..lol )

So if we are coming for 4 days , this totals to 20 - 25 pieces of dress and thats what I am trying to understand....

Thanks everyone and hope few of you can help me ..... Have a great weekend !

Or you could wear shorts during the day when moving about the resort.

My typical day, get up and put on exercise shorts and a t-shirt, go exercise and then go for breakfast in my shorts and t-shirt(shirt and shorts can be washed out). Back to room for bathing suit (like to have it to walk the beach) and cover-up. This will be all you need until dinner. For dinner some nights I wear my theme night outfit to dinner if it's at least half way respectable. Other nights a sexy dress for dinner than go back and change. Hope this helps. Don't forget your sexy shoes for evenings and flip flops for the day.

One year we went to Desire RM and I really overpacked, had a different outfit each day for breakfast, by the pool, dinner and disco. Said I would never do that again, too much trouble for me. Typically I wear my cover up to breakfast and by the pool, then when we go to the jacuzzi from there later in the afternoon, I put my cover up back on. Dinner is an outfit and then the disco I change in to the sexier outfit. After the disco, this year I will probably go back to the room to change and just use a cover up to go to the jacuzzi. I am also bringing cheap flip flops for the pool/jacuzzi as they will get wet. Sexy shoes are a must, just make sure if the heel is really high, you practice walking in them :D . This is all about relaxing and having fun so enjoy your trip! 8)

If this conservative little black dress is your idea of "formal"..then you're good

Or just wear it also to disco :D

Late night at the jacuzzi does not require anything special...your birthday suit will work..

Just remember; your birthday suit is easy to clean and dry...very versatile!

What I have learned is don't over think this. Depending on your stay, as the previous posting mentioned, your birthday suit is appropriate and recommended for most of the day and evening. While I like to slip into a fresh cover up each day, which I wear to breakfast and lunch, some ladies only bring one outfit for their stay (either a cover up or shorts and a top). Clothing that has been worn for a day, in and out of the beach bag, tends to not smell so good the next day.

Please do not think 'formal', unless your idea of formal is sexy and covers your sexiest parts, as pictured above. Websites to check out more 'formal' wear, teehee, are www.yandy.com, www.aliexpress.com, www.greatglam.com, to name a few. Type into the 'search' engine on any internet page: sexy club dress, and that will provide you with many ideas. Have fun! This is a chance to dress as sexy as you dare, to feel alluring and teasing.

The dresses you choose can be worn to dinner and disco, if you like. Typically, the dresses mentioned that cover your sexiest parts are worn to dinner. At the disco, you will see those dresses, but primarily will see ladies wearing even sexier attire. This ranges from pasties and a thong, to 'bandage' outfits (looks like a ribbon that is wrapped around the figure--sexy), to body stockings, and more! All clothing worn with the ladies' provocative heels (height varies based upon your ability to walk!!).

Bathing suit: a must if you walk the beach. Otherwise, you won't need it, unless you want it.

Shoes: non-slip sandals or flip flops for the day, around the pool, restaurant (must) and trips to the bathroom, jacuzzi, or around resort. This year I did see some attractive wedges, not just flip flops. Point is to wear something to prevent a fall, as the area is wet.

Exercise wear, if you choose to go to the gym, would be wise, with your gym shoes. We walked the beach and attended water aerobics, took in a pole dance lesson, and danced at the disco, for our weeks' work out sessions. We regularly exercise at home 3-4 times/week, and walk or are otherwise active in between.

Hope this input helps you, as well. Enjoy!! The time leading up to Desire forum postings will be helpful, too. Like someone said, it feels like Christmas, getting ready.....then we finally get to arrive and open our 'presence'! :)

Cheers!

I wouldn't take too many different items as I guarantee you won't wear them all! You'll see a wide variety in what people wear - the key thing is just to do whatever you feel comfortable with. Relax and have fun. Here's what I do.

I wear a T shirt or vest top and either shorts or a short (tennis style) skirt to breakfast. Then I wear nothing all day (pool, beach, Jacuzzi) except for lunch when I typically put on a T shirt dress or maybe a sarong over bikini bottoms. I only wear a swimsuit if we're walking to Puerto Morelos. I wander round the resort (except for the lobby) naked - including to and from our room during the day. But if you feel more comfortable, just put a bikini on, or shorts, to walk round.

I wear theme night outfits to dinner if they are dresses, even if they are sexy and revealing. But if the theme needs something that isn't a dress - school girl, bunny, ABC etc - I change into it after dinner. The restaurant staff have absolutely no problem with sexy and revealing dresses and their excellent service will just get even better! But if you feel more comfortable in something less revealing for dinner, then go for that.

After the disco I just undress at the Jacuzzi from whatever the theme night clothes were and put them in a cubby (not on the beds!). You need to be careful not to loose small items as it's quite dark, and it can be a bit wet underfoot so keep your outfit off the ground. I never wear anything at night in bed at home or at Pearl, so sleepwear isn't an issue for me!

So I'm just taking an outfit for each theme night, a few T shirts, shorts and a little skirt, a bikini and sarong, flip flops and heels.

Some practical stuff. Remember you'll be putting sun protection on bits of you that you haven't before, so wear for lunch something that doesn't matter if it gets sun cream on it. You'll need flip flops during the day as the paths get hot. I walk to the disco in bare feet at night and put heels on when I get there as the paths can be a bit uneven for heels - which I don't wear that often. And wear bug spray at night if you use the Jacuzzi beds!

Hope this helps and have a great time.....

We have good Desire Friends who do it with carry-ons only.
That would only take care of my wife's shoes.
But then it is clothing-optional, so maybe shoes is all one needs???

On your first few trips, you'll find that you excessively overpack.
If you're like us, on your 10th or 12th or 15th trip, you'll find that you excessively overpack.

1 hr into dancing we r naked our clothes are in a pile in corner somewhere.

After nightclub return clothes to room, walk around resort naked.

1 outfit per day. No swimsuit, 1 pareo for walking beach, 4 dresses, 5 pairs of shoes, other weird accessories, and 1 husband.

I just received that same dress today, in blue...love it :)
I am a C/O newbie too and am sure I will overpack a bit. BUT, I think that is better than not packing enough. Options are good!

I'm also afraid I'm going to overpack! We are going to be there for 4 nights and I was planning on taking
- two coverups for breakfast/walk to pool/lunch/etc
- 5-6 dinner dresses (a girl needs options)
- 5-6 Disco outfits and shoes

It seems like a lot when I plan to be naked most of the day!

But think of the luggage space saved, with no bras or underwear to pack... :D

4 shirts & 2 shorts for breakfast
5 or 0 bikini bottoms
4 dinner outfits
4 disco outfits
Minimize the shoes. They take up a lot of space a NO ONE looks at them.

I don't know about that. They *do* take up a lot of room but I like my wife in heels for dinner and dancing so we make room in the carry-ons for a few pairs at least.
