Got home a few days ago and am now dealing with this condition. Wanted to put this out as a heads up to others.

I had something like after we got back from a cruise. Had a great time and got over it. Shit happens. Don't spend your life worrying about the little shit.

Just trying to help educate others that may experience the same thing.

Indeed, we always try to remember to shower immediately after getting out of the jacuzzi, but sometimes it slips our minds....Mr. WS has a skin condition that is aggravated by hot-tubs, so we try to limit the time we're in.

As you went to both resorts on your trip which resort do you think you picked it up from? Did the symptoms show up while you were away or after you got home? Thanks

Thank you. I hope you feel better soon and that you enjoyed your vacation, aside from the parting gift.

Do not understand why others feel smart ass comments are needed. I am just trying to give others a heads up and some information that explains the condition if they experience it without knowing what it is. Thanks to the previous poster that suggested to always use the shower upon exiting the hottub. We did not use the shower at the hottub, but most of the time would head back to our room and shower before getting ready for dinner.

After reading the article I see it also says you could get it by using oils on your skin that block the hair follicles. Is that a possibility, did you possibly use a lot more oily type sun screen that you usually don't. I have never been to either Desire resort yet, but most of what I read on this Forum the tubs are usually very high in chlorine residual. I have also experienced something close to what the article describes when I have been on longer cruises. I have been blaming it on some kind of skin rash caused by the harsh detergents they use on the bedding, now I'm not sure. :?
Thanks for the heads up.

Used the same lotion based sun screen as in the past.

Shaving your skin increases your chances of this. As some else said, be sure to shower after every dip in the hot tub and pool for that matter.
