What are your thoughts comparing the room types?

We have done both at Pearl and the difference was just a larger sitting area with couch and larger balcony. We did see a ov room on first floor that looked smaller with no couch at all, but the bathroom looked bigger? I would book the ov next time but ask for a upgrade at time of early check in.

Not a ton of differences, the JS is a little larger and has the dreaded step up to the bathroom and door, which can be fun in the middle of the night! And a opening over the tub with shutters that overlook the room. Plus the JS tend to be at the front of the buildings while the OV are at the sides of each building, not that that's a bad thing. All in all both are nice.

We have had both room types as well. It so doesn't matter. The JS is slightly larger, and I do mean slightly. I can't say we needed or even used the small amount of extra space. If you are fortunate enough to have the extra cash to spend, the minimal extra space might be important to you if that's how you choose to spend your money. Personally, we prefer to spend the pesos on massages and pictures. Believe me, when you get home you will re-live those moments time and time again, and not the size of the room..Just one couple's opinion.
