Ever stayed just for one night?

We stayed at Pearl for our first time in June and loved it. We are taking a family vacation for 7 nights in October and wanted to see if anyone has ever sneaked away for one day and night to get your fix before your next full Pearl trip? I know its hard to leave pearl after a week long visit so i wonder how bad it will be after just one day? Might be more work than its worth.

FYI - both Desire properties have a two(2) night minimum booking ;)

While that is the official policy and applies to direct bookings, many/most online travel agencies will book you for one night. There is no company/resort policy that says 2 night minimum, they just won't directly book you for less. I've booked a single night at Desire on two separate occasions, one on Hotels.com (expedia group) and one on Orbitz.

A story: One time we woke up in a dumpy Cancun hotel, so we decided to go to Desire for our last night before flying home. I called the resort and they would absolutely not book me for a single night, no matter what, no exceptions. So I got out my laptop, found a lower price online, and booked a single night. Their loss, because those online travel agencies charge pretty steep commission.

Maybe true in the past, just for a laugh I tried to book for a single night at Desire RM using both Orbitz and Hotels.com - no availability anytime in 2015, yet if I put in two nights I could book almost anytime I wanted - try it yourself .....

Pearl on both sites lets you book for one night but the only room category they allow for one nighters is the pricey Master Suites.

That's true, most of the time a single night will not show availability for the lowest-tier rooms (despite the same site offering the cheaper rooms on multi night bookings). I've only ever done it as a last-minute booking, but for reference I can book this coming Tuesday night by itself, in a standard garden view, on either HotelClub or CheapTickets. Not my preferred outlets, but they're not scams either. Hotelclub is offering the night for $377!

I assume the resort really doesn't mind. Availability for single nights is clearly inferior and the rooms are released far more judiciously. I figure they allow it just to fill rooms when needed.
