Have been loving this forum, so much wonderful, useful info. We have been to Mexico several times and walked by Desire lots of times. Every time we walked by, we always commented to each other how much fun we would have staying at Desire. Can't wait for our first visit!!

It looks like you have most everything covered. You may want to add some bug spray to your list.

Congrats on your 30th, we were just there in early August celebrating our 30th as well. You are going to the right place! We are going back again in late September to meet some friends that could not join us in August. They have also been married for a long time. We can't wait! It is amazing the people that you meet. The great thing is the large number of couples in long term committed relationships that are there. That's not to say that we don't enjoy the couples that are in more casual, short term relationships but, it just goes to show that this is a positive environment for relationships as long as couples are open minded and communicate. It sounds like you are ready for your trip.

Yes, we will definitely add bug spray to the list. I usually seems to attract all the biting bugs. Thanks

Just got back from Pearl and never used bug spray. I am one to always get bites but none this time. I did see them spraying the bushes one morning. Had a few flys bother us. Nothing to worry about. As of Thursday, the beach is horrible. Seaweed is real bad. The water along the shore is brown. Not inviting at all. The smell from the seaweed is not pleasant. Good thing there is always a breeze. Did not bother us though. Had a great time at the pool.
Have a great time. A day at Desire is better than a day anywhere.
