I'm somebody who dehydrates easily so I'm always in need of hydration. I'm guessing the body shots and bar drinks will suffice most of the time. But what about water? OK to drink it from the tap? Or best to drink from bottled water? If the bar or restaurant provides water, is that ok? Clearly that's where they make their ice so I'm guessing/hoping it's filtered.

We always make sure to have plenty of bottled water to stay very hydrated. With the heat, alcohol consumption and various activities it is a must if you want to make it through each day. You can get it at the resort or stop by Walmart on the way and pick up a case for your room. We had not problem drinking water from the restaurant.

I realize this did not answer your question about drinking tap water Pearl. To that, I do not have an answer.

I have not drank water for the tap at Pearl or RM, nor will I. We do not even use tap water for brushing teeth. I do eat the ice from frozen drinks, but that is about it. Everything else I personally see it com from a bottle. It is just not worth the risk.

We were there in Dec. 2013 and visited both TTR and Pearl and drank the water at both places -- with no ill effects. My wife and I are very sensitive to bad water and would recommend the water at Pearl.

When Mexico built up Cancun in the 1970s they took special measures to ensure pure water.

Pearl has bottled water in rooms, bottled water at all bars and restaurants. The ice comes from filtered water.....nothing to worry about! Now, I wouldn't drink the tap water....

Thanks all! This was very comforting to hear. I'll try to think of a funner question for next time. Something to do with the play room.

Good to hear- the wife usually handles things in stride stomach wise, but I tend to have problems when it's not purified. Normally though, if the water comes from a bar gun it goes through the same filtration system that the soft drink water goes through. Should be good to go. Nick (and the bodacious Kitty)tm
