Entertainment Staff at DP

The people, service, food and scenery are all great at DP but what really ties the experience together for us is the great entertainment staff. It seems like every year we meet someone new on the staff but a bunch are still there. This post is for a few reasons, 1 to keep those traveling soon up to date on who is there currently and 2 to share great memories with current and past staff oh and because I want to talk about the trip because we are still 80+ days away from our trip.
Last year we had the pleasure of meeting Amy. Its our understanding she is no longer there but she was great and super cute. She played cornhole with hubby every morning because she wanted to practice before the beach games and because she wasnt very good(or so she acted lol). This allowed me to go to yoga and not have hubby get bored without me. If you were at yoga last Jan I was the one with a mimosas. I am sure if you ask hubby he would tell you all about playing volleyball with the guys every morning and of course wanting to practice pingpong as much as possible before next Jan. I cant remember who kept kicking his butt (2 years in a row) but one of the guys is really good. Amy also put me in the lingerie fashion show and as I was getting nervous (I hate being the center of attention in large crowd's) she literally held my hand and made me feel so comfortable during it all. It was the most active in group events in all of our time there and Im not sure I ever thanked her for that.

The entertainment staff are outstanding. We were there this past August. Vince, Charlie, and Eli are absolutely phenomenal. The female staff is somewhat newer, but still good. We will be back in January and look forward to seeing them again, since corn hole and volleyball are daily activities for us.

We agree- Amy was a cutie and very fun and outgoing. We are sorry to read that she has moved on. Liz and Vince are two other EC's that come to mind that we hope are still on staff for our February trip.

Does anyone know if there is a lingerie fashion show at DRM? Also, what a nice gesture to hold your hand when nervous. That sounds exactly like my wife. Hates to be center of attention and would be shy/nervous in that situation.

I am reviving this topic in hopes of a current report of the entertainment staff at Pearl. As said, there have been a number of changes and the loss of some very favorite/lively/beautiful staff around the pool, facilitating activities and kicking off the disco. What's the status/Who's there to create the wonderful environment that we all love?

As of last month it was Charlie, Marco, Kia and two new ones, a Columbian girl (I think her name is Julia) who doesnt speak much, if any English and a new guy with a great personality and very fluent in English. Sorry that I don't remember his name but I think you'll like them both.
Eli and Vince were both there last November but are now gone, in fact we were there on Vince's last day.

Thanks eddieandjojo ..... just want to believe that the "vibe" will go on when we visit Pearl in June. I hope that Mrs Tommer and I see you again. Our too brief introduction last year at RM was not enough and it would be nice to spend some quality time with you! Cheers and thanks for all you do on this blog!

As of about two weeks ago, there is another new girl, Angie, from Canada. She's built, I wouldn't challenge her to a Crossfit challenge if I were you.

Agreed. I spoke with her a bit about hockey and she seemed to know her stuff and enjoyed talking hockey. I think she was still finding her way as part of the staff since she's so new but she was a trooper and did well.
Kia is either Cuban or Columbian. I don't think I've ever seen a body so tiny and well developed. My wife asked if she competed and said no. Just dedicated.
Great time for our first trip. Looking forward to next year.
Matt

Rest assured, the vibe was definitely there in early March! Yes, agreed, our intro was too brief last summer, hopefully next time we'll have more of an overlap. Hugs to sexy Mrs Tommer!!!
Matt, agreed, Kia (Cuban) is simply an amazing little specimen. We talked to her quite a bit this last trip and know that she's trained for 17 years in acrobatics, gymnastics and obviously other fitness related activities. We were there on her first day over a year ago when she first started and she's come a long way, her aerial show is awesome, hope everyone gets a chance to see it.

We loved Amy for the short time she was at Pearl. We miss Vince, we especially miss that Liz in in sales and no longer sharing activities with us, and now will have to miss Eli, who was so much fun and always made us feel so welcome, (even when he was busting our butts with the water aerobics). But the good news is that they always find wonderful entertainment staffers to make sure that the Desire vibe goes all day long and into the evening. We'll look forward to meeting the new staffers when we arrive at the end of June, all of whom I'm sure will carry on the DP fun and games tradition. XL

Also, Liz is no longer in sales as of February. It apparently was not a good fit for her and she is taking some time away. She is sharp and has a brilliant personality and will succeed at whatever she chooses to do. I think it would be a huge loss to Original Resorts if they did not find a way to keep her.

We're so sorry to see Liz go, but we wish her well in whatever field she pursues. Maybe fate will bring her back to Desire, if not as an employee, perhaps as a guest. Wouldn't that be a blast.
Vaya con Dios, Liz. XL
